Adding another feather in its kitty, NPS International School has been successfully awarded with the coveted British Council International School Award (ISA)—Final Round for the period 2017- 2020.NPS is among the small number of schools in the country which has the distinction of achieving the award for two consecutive terms. In the year 2014, the school received the award for the period of three years till 2017. The Award will be formally presented to the school in a ceremony later this year in November/December 2017.
As part of the event, the school had formulated a seven-point charter of activities namely-- The Folktale Trail, Nurture the Nature, Dynamics of Disaster, Dump the Junk, Geometry in Everyday Life, Organic Farming—A Global Necessity; Know Tour Country and Nation. For the successful completion of the project, NPS International School had MoUs with some of the schools across the globe, including Gurukul International Academy, Nepal; GGHS Sher Zaman Colony, Pakistan; Chhaila Government Primary School, Bangladesh; Liverpool Life Science School, UK; Government Girls High School, Bhattian, Pakistan; Doha Modern Indian School, Qatar; Shu-Te Vocational High School, Taiwan, China; B/Kanduredeka Muslim Vidyalaya, Sri Lanka, etc.
In a communiqué to the school, the British Council said, “The dossier created by your school is commendable. It depicts in very many formats the efforts of students and teachers towards fulfillment of learning objectives. We highly appreciate the involvement of young students in thinking critically about disaster management and its dynamics in activities.” The school has a positive vision towards change and all the activities reflect the speed of changing generation and readiness to adopt new technologies, the communique added.
It may be mentioned here that out of total 49 points in the ISA portfolio Assessment Summary Sheet of the British Council, NPS International School has secured all the 49 points with 100% success rate this time.
