5 Star Gold Rating By World Education Foundation, UK
Adding another feather in its cap, NPS International School, Guwahati has been ranked with “5 Star Gold” Rating-Standard by world renowned school-rating agency, World Education Foundation (WEF), UK.
“This certification acknowledges the school’s commitment to excellence in education and to the five competencies that are essential to a child’s learning outcomes,” World Education Foundation (WEF), UK said while announcing the result on Tuesday.
It may be mentioned here that NPS is the one and only school in the Northeast to get “5 Star Gold” rating by the WEF.
After a thorough assessment on objective and subjective criteria, the Council for Standards and Education Reform (CSER) has signed off on the final rating and announced the ratings for NPS. NPS International School is among the handful of schools in India which has been ranked by the WEF. These ratings serve as authoritative guideposts for parents and students seeking exceptional educational-experiences.
World Education Foundation (WEF), UK is the world’s premier school rating agency. WEF has been providing transparency and accountability to parents, school-boards and funding-agencies through intensive and comprehensive assessment and ratings of schools. Schools across the world have benefitted immensely through WEF’s assessment and improvement advisory programmes.
Lauding the effort of teachers, students and other staff of NPS in getting the rare recognition by the WEF, school director, Mr. J.N. Das said, “I am honoured to be a member of the school. WEF recognition means a lot to all of us. I thank each and every member of NPS on this achievement.”

WEF’s pilot programme in India endeavours to apply the well-established global model into a relatively new, untested and unstructured ecosystem. Working closely with schools, educational boards, agencies and organizations, WEF will test the acceptability and percolability of such standards into the Indian educational system.
Congratulating all the teachers, staff, students and other members of NPS, school principal Probhati Biswas said that the WEF recognition will be a great moral booster for both teachers and students of the school. Such ratings definitely reflect the standard of the education the school adopts. She also appreciated the WEF initiative to recognize a school in a far distant place of India with such a rare honour.
Through its Vision 2020 initiative, the World Education Foundation, UK will provide and sponsor transparency and accountability to education industry stakeholders through its intensive and comprehensive assessments and engagements.
This certification to NPS from WEF will be valid till December 31, 2018.
