All Assam Cine Producers falicited NPS Founder
For earning laurels to the State in various film festivals, both in national and international level, during the year 2017, Mr Jitendra Nath Das, founder and chairman of NPS International School who has also produced internationally and nationally acclaimed documentary films, “Hope” and “Pariskar Assam” this year, was felicitated in a meeting organised by the All Assam Cine Producers Association in Guwahati on May 27, 2017.
Padmashree Mrs Eli Ahmed felicitated Mr Jitendra Nath Das on behalf of the All Assam Cine Producers’ Association in Guwahati on Saturday.
The All Assam Cine Producers Association decided to felicitate the producers of those films and short films in Assam which are awarded and honoured in National and International platform during the year 2017.
The short films “Hope” and “Poriskar Asom”, prepared by the students of NPS International School and produced by Mr JN Das, have earned laurels at both national and international platforms.
The details of both the films are given below.
Documentary name: Hope
Subject: Hope, a documentary film prepared by the students of NPS International School in the year 2017, is a story on how the school managed to bring smile to two differently-abled students, Amit and Madhurjya, and their family members as both of them cleared their CBSE Class XII Examinations, 2016 with flying colours. Amit secured 93.2 % marks in Humanities in the examination. Madhurjya also successfully cleared the JEE-Mains 2016 examination.

Successfully screened at
- Apart from other national and international level platforms,Pariskar Assam was successfully screened at Swachh Bharat Short Film Festival Competition, New Delhi, 2017.
- NPS International School, Guwahati has received the Certificate of Excellence from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, for Pariskar Assam.
- Earlier, two documentary films prepared by the students of the school, Assam Bamboo Crafts and We are Same Same but Different, have also earned laurels to the entire North-east region in 2015 onwards.
- Assam Bamboo Crafts secured first position in the national-level film-making competition, organized by the CBSE in 2015.
- Assam Bamboo Crafts was also sent to the 5th Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival 2015 in New Delhi and the school won awards in two categories--- Best Documentary and Best Cinematography.
- The documentary also won the Best Film Award in the 4th Bangalore Short International Film Festival 2015. In Indian Cine Film Festival 2015 and Kolkata International Film Festival 2015, Assam Bamboo Crafts was officially shortlisted for the final round in students’ category.
