Early childhood care and education (ECCE), as defined by UNESCO, is the âholistic development of a childâs social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs in order to build a solid and broad foundation for lifelong learning and wellbeing.â The years from birth to age 8 are viewed as a critical period for developing the foundations for thinking, behaving, and emotional well-being. During these years children develop linguistic, cognitive, social, emotional, and regulatory skills that predict their functioning in many domains later.
During these years, the studentâs intellectual, aesthetic, physical, and cultural growth is strengthened through a foundation course designed to suit students to enable them to fit into any International background. The smooth transition from childhood to adolescence is facilitated by comprehensive, value-added education.
The curriculum and pedagogical framework of the Middle School is strongly based on academic content while at the same time developing studentsâ study skills and organizational strategies.
