Best Performing School Award to NPS at Asia Education Summit
Guwahati, March 14: NPS International School received the award for ‘Best Performing School’ at the Asia Education Summit & Awards 2017 by Worldwide Achievers. Union Minister for State for Human Resource Development Mr Upendra Kushwaha, presented the award to the Director of the School, Mr. Vivek Sikka and the Principal Mrs. Probhati Biswas, in a glittering function held in New Delhi today (March 15, 2017).
The occasion was also graced by BJP Spokesperson, Syed Shahnawaz Hussain; Dr CP Thakur, MP and Educationist; film actress and social worker Mrs Sharmila Tagore; Mr Sambit Patra, senior BJP leader; Mr Rishi Pal, DCP, Delhi Police; Mr R Sathiyasundaram, ADCP (Law and Order), Delhi Police among others.
In his speech, Mr Kushwaha stressed on the need for proper utilization of human resources of the country, especially in the North-eastern region of India. Former Union Minister and MP Syed Shahnawaz Hussain also spoke on the overall improvement of country’s education section as a whole.
The Award recognizes the professional contributions and academic achievement of an individual/organization in the area of education. It emphasizes on the education sector and the challenges and opportunities in this field: Key thematic areas include higher education, school education, vocational and skill training and open and distance learning.
